Adam Daniel Weiss Wins Fall Harvest 2005
- Publicist Settles Down, Finds Happiness-

New York, NY (October 19, 2005) – Adam D. Weiss – publicist, blogger, and friend to many - has a boyfriend, garnering an upset win in the inaugural Fall Harvest competition. The announcement was made this morning in an email at 10:53 a.m. EST, with the statement “Yee-haw.”

Throughout the fall months of September and October, several New York-based individuals have been actively searching web sites, bathroom stalls, and Chelsea bars for attractive and sociable companions in preparation for the cold months of winter. Weiss (aka Spicy Weissy, Gwenevere, Fern) took a late lead in the game by cultivating the beginnings of a relationship with an Australian* and today relishes his unprecedented victory.

“I’m thrilled to win the first-ever Fall Harvest competition,” notes Weiss. “I have to say, logging on to gay.com wasn’t all that hard, but finding a truly great guy…well, that makes this all the better. I’m just happy.”

The victory comes as a boon for the 25 year-old public relations professional as Weiss was previously single for over 5 years. His web site,I'm A Publicist, has chronicled the ups and downs of single life in Chelsea. Despite the victory his peers are still actively participating in Fall Harvest, and while many cheer his win, others are doubtful. [“Ew. I can’t believe he has a boyfriend and I don’t,” laments Chris ‘P.B.’ Frederick.]

His friends wish him nothing but the best. Fall Harvest 2006 competition details will be announced next summer.

*As per the policy of Fall Harvest 2005, the name and identity of the winning crop cannot be released.

About Fall Harvest
Conceived in August 2005 by a group of seven single gay men, Fall Harvest seeks to foster exclusive interpersonal relationships prior to the winter months. Taking off from the historical themes of agricultural farmers reaping the last of their crops for the winter, Fall Harvest is a metaphor for settling down and enjoying the serene aspects of life.
